We protect ourselves in the Torrent network, block unwanted peers and organizations
As you know, it is impossible to prove that the user downloaded the file to the torrent network, but you can only copy the list of peers by connecting to the distribution, then a request is sent to your client about your% upload, but at this stage you can break the connection, which we and offer.
You probably remember the program that did this - PeerGuardian , but it does not work under Win Vista \ 7 and we have other equally good OSs.
Recently, the old PeerGuardian survived the upgrade to peerblock, now it does not install drivers in the system and looks like this.

There are also blockers for MacOs.
For MacOs, here is the standard PeerGuardian.
But in order to use these programs, block lists are also needed, the site www.iblocklist.com was recently launched .where they gathered about.
On the site you can select the sheet we like and enable filtering.

Then if you suddenly stumble upon an unwanted peer, the packet is blocked,
whether it is UDP or TCP, which is useful with the introduction of the new uTP protocol in uTorrent Using the
links below you can download blockers for
Windows
MacOs
K Unfortunately, I did not find a solution under Linux, but as far as there are lock lists, I think there will be where to screw them.
I’ll add that the download speed does not slow down when using a blocker.
Here are the screenshots of the program in various poses.
Here you can immediately choose which sheets to subscribe to.
