He transferred one million dollars to the Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society . “Neither in the Soviet Union, nor even in present-day Russia, I would never have gotten such opportunities as in America,” he said.

    By the way, his mother Evgenia Brin now heads this charity, holding the post of director. On her initiative, a social network was launched on the HIAS website .
