TimePad.ru - an assistant in organizing events

Hello habra Today I want to tell you about a service that I have been working with my friends for a long time, but there wasn’t any good reason to talk about it here. Our project is called TimePad , and a good reason is our participation in the Innovation Alley on RIW and plans to make RIW more fun :)

    But first things first.

What is a timepad and who needs it?

Our mission: “We help make events better, and organizing them is easier.” At the moment, Timepad can:
    • Create Event Pages
    • Organize the event registration process
    • Collect and store the email addresses of anyone who may be interested in the event
    • Send invitations and announcements on them

It seems that there is nothing super-new in this, and there are many services that cope with each of these tasks better than us. But our main feature is not in the tricked out functionality, but in its sharpening for specific tasks (organization of events). The second, no less important feature is the clarity and ease of use for any Ksyusha and any Anatoly Prokofievich who are involved in organizing events and are not very versed in the Internet.

We do not set ourselves the goal of satisfying the needs of absolutely everyone. Sites, one way or another working with events, appear almost every month and competing with everyone is quite a futile exercise. In our developments, we focus on professional event organizers - those who conduct public lectures, seminars, trainings, conferences, and who constantly do this.

At first impressions, this approach is paying off. Now the system is used by about 150 organizations that work with almost 30,000 audiences. And this is just the beginning.

    Why did we take it?

Someone may have a question (especially by looking at our faces in the “Team” section): “And who are we to decide what is convenient for the organizers and what is not?”. The fact is that we devoted half of our conscious life to organizing various events. At different periods of our lives, we worked together and individually at the “ Business in .RU Style ” club, the SU-HSE Business Incubator , the Parliamentary Debate Club and other organizations. We organized the first meeting with the creators of Habrahabr , meetings of the Russian community of PostgresSQL users, the first conference in Russia in the TED style - TEDxMoscowand many others. That is why we know firsthand what it is to carry out events designed for hundreds of participants, and we also know all the difficulties and bottlenecks that arise in the process of their preparation.

    Riw

As I said at the beginning, we will present our project at RIW on the Innovation Alley (there we have an honorary stand G-1). Visit us - we will be glad to see everyone, we will treat you to delicious green tea and talk about our service and other interesting things.

And to be sure it’s not boring, we plan to dilute the RIVA business program with several small entertainment events (games, flash mobs, contests), for the organization of which, of course, we will use TimePad.

A brief summary of these events can be found here . And to find out all the details before anyone else - register here .
