uPackinglist - or how we were going on the road

I present to the public the iPhone application for those who like to travel, but do not like tolls on the road;)

Idea

The theme of travel and fees to them was chosen for writing an iPhone application for a reason - a number of company employees travel a lot on business trips, vacations, etc., and the memory suggested the existence of a program with which pack lists were created on wm but no similar high-quality product was found under the iphone platform. Yes, there were several options, but they did not satisfy us in different ways - in one it is difficult to add objects (you need to spend half a dozen tapas on this), in the other the interface is clumsy, etc. In a word, it was decided to develop an application in this niche, convenient and beautiful at the same time.

Implementation

I’ll give a few pictures of the application itself, so that it becomes clear what I’m talking about:

Version 1.0

Two versions of the application were immediately created - paid and free, with advertising banners. At the first stage, the functionality of both versions was exactly the same, and apart from advertising, they were no different. Yes, and they established themselves at the same time - with a difference of one day, as they were sent to Apple.

Version 1.1

But with the new version, a lot of functions and beauty were added to the paid version of the application, and here the fun began. The update of the two versions was sent with a difference of one day, but after 20 (!) Days a rejection came from there - Apple did not want to install our application only because in the recently appeared keywords (keywords for searching applications on itunes) we indicated the word “Disney” , which in our opinion related to the application, because people could gather using uPackinglist on vacation, on business trips, and on Disney Land, but Apple’s censors thought otherwise - that this keyword applies to other applications, but not to our. I had to immediately re-post the same updates, removing only one word in the keywords ... And after 11 days the free version was approved and became available to users!

But the adventures of the paid version continued. After another 26 (!!!) days, Apple employees saw that iPhone was painted on one of the new background pictures, but this turned out to be a violation of copyright and Apple’s trademark ... I had to change these pictures.

Version 1.2

By this time, some additional new functionality had arrived in time for the paid version, and for both versions - a new interface language (Russian, English, German and Italian are now supported). Therefore, both versions were sent for the next approval.

Fortunately, apple censors didn't need much time now - in less than 2 weeks, both updated versions became available. Today, their difference is that in a paid item for each item in the list, you can add a quantity and a comment, change the icon of any category, and also change the background images of the entire application (a choice of three topics).
