What will replace television?

    Continuing the theme : There

    are three different types of digital information consumption:
    * game, interactive form
    * active form: active search for articles and clips on a given topic
    * passive consumption form: a person “without straining” looks at a pre-formed “playlist”

    It is to the passive form of consumption information and TV applies. Television performs its main function - to organize and on an industrial scale to give the masses professional and not very video shows. What is happening now?

    Passive information consumers are becoming less and less. A clear direction of development is clearly seen: each person has his own media planning, his playlist + his recommendation lists for his tastes (see lastfm, imkhonet and other recommendation services).

    There is a transition from a media plan descended “from above”, from a rigidly defined “playlist” to “playlists” created by hand in advance, or automatically generated by a recommendation service algorithm (according to taste preferences, thematic, emotional - according to mood).

    The state’s media planning policy is also changing. If earlier it was necessary to remove the necessary programs, now it’s enough to filter out the unnecessary and increase the search engine rating for those recommended by the state. The necessary censorship will be carried out by the person himself, being lazy to search on the sickle pages and clicking on the button “I’m lucky!”. Anyway, hell that he will find unnecessary in the "digital trash" of the Internet.
