How I interviewed admins

We needed a system administrator at the company. Thanks ellesar2001 , posted a vacancy . I was not back then at Habré.
Standard questions asked at the interview:
Results:
Of the 9 people who were interviewed, one more or less decently answered.
Of these, 8 are graduates or students of technical universities (MEPhI, Baumanka, ...)
None know the basic definitions. Everything is explained on the fingers.
* Nix knowledge for 6 people - ability to work with GUI.
The only one who answered was a 17-year-old guy.
And these people - with diplomas, with education ...
And they will work!

- Basic UNIX commands (How to find out what kind of OS, look at dmesg, define a list of server interfaces, etc.).
- Basic concepts of TCP / IP (What is ttl, how does traceroute work, what are the 7 levels of ISO / OSI)
- Basic questions on the syntax of YP (for those who wrote knowledge of YP in the summary).
- Cryptography basics (what is a hash, asymmetric \ symmetric algorithm, hacking methods?)
