Blind search engine comparison

    BlindSearch

A simple opportunity to compare the work of three search engines - Google, Bing, Yahoo. Enter a search query (Web or Image), after which the results are displayed in the video of three columns arranged randomly, and you select the one whose results are most satisfied. Thus, it is possible to avoid the influence of a brand or design on the perception of search results.

Limitations - lack of localization. All searches pass as USA.

How did I test this service? During the day, I tried to pass all search queries in English through BlindSearch. A total of 21 requests were received on various topics.
I am extremely surprised that in my personally small study with a double margin I won ...
    Bing!

I am surprised. I have never tried a search service from Microsoft, maybe now is the time.

And here are the results provided by the author Michael Kordahi

8 weeks have passed since BlindSearch was launched and here are some numbers:
    Number of queries: 559,239
    Results: Google: 41%, Bing: 31%, Yahoo: 28%

Google is confidently winning, I wonder how the results will change:
-If you replace Yahoo with Yandex, and localize the service for Russia?
-After implementing the joint search Bind + Yahoo?
    -After launching Google Caffeine ?

ps Interestingly, the author of the site is a Microsoft employee :)
