d3o - an elastic material that absorbs physical effects

d3o ( di-tri-o ) is a new material, soft and elastic until a sharp strong impact is applied to it.
It is soft as a chewing gum, but if you hit a lump of this material with a hammer, the lump almost does not deform.

Due to this property, the material is already used for the production of equipment for skiers: knee pads, elbow pieces.
In the future, it is planned to make jellies of this material armor - elastic and not constraining movements, but not pierced by bullets and fragments.
The commercial use of the material began in 2005, since then it has already been used in the following products:
- Equipment for winter sports. Teams of the USA and Canada at the 2006 Olympics used costumes with d3o inserts
- Company Sells Goalkeeper Products manufactures gloves for football goalkeepers
- Motorcycle Glove Back Inserts for Joint Protection
- IPhone Cases
- Capulet uses d3o to make pointe shoes (ballet shoes)
- Protective gear SixSixOne for motor-sport
- Molecular Armor Coming Soon
