Virtual war with your victories and defeats

imageSometimes detective stories unfold on the network, for in one of the materials on how things are going in the Russian segment of the World Wide Web, the author, using the example of one of the groups of the popular social network, spoke about a real virtual war with its victories and defeats.

Crime and Punishment, or Virtual War
The history of the official VKontakte Illusionist Brothers Safronov Brothers group is very rich in the manifestations of the psychology of Internet communities. The first team of administrators could not cope with the tasks of managing the group, was rude to the participants and behaved inappropriately, feeling a certain power. Then she was replaced by a new one, which immediately received the support of the participants. And not surprisingly, a loyal attitude, support for discussions, organization of contests and the provision of fresh information at first hand did the trick. The new administrators did not forget about the creative impulses of the fans, prompting them to action with the release of their own animated series about the Safronov Brothers. A flood of poems, drawings and video experiments of the participants poured right there.

Discussions raced with the speed of an automatic queue. Many did not have time to refresh the browser page to stay up to date. For a while, having forgotten about the role of creators and consumers of information, the participants turned into real detectives. They worked out various versions of who was guilty of attacking the group, restored the sequence of its blocking and, most importantly, thought about what to do next. As a result, the victory once again remained on the side of the official group. The page was hacked again to return to its rightful owner, and the group was unblocked. A little later, these events formed the basis of the cartoon "Crime and Punishment" of one of the most active participants - Angelina Doroshko.

And how many similar battles, battles, battles, victories and defeats are unknown to the absolute majority. How often do we hear about DOS attacks, about how fraudsters hack other people's resources and how this affects our offline life.
