The Darkness sequel announced

At the Comic Con show in San Diego, rumors have been confirmed for about a month and a half about the sequel to The Darkness.
What the fans were waiting for finally happened. No data on platforms yet, but it would be reasonable to assume that the sequel, like the original, will be released only on consoles.

As it turned out later, Starbreeze Studios, in the person of its CEO Johan Kristionssa created the first part, said that in no way relates to the project. According to Kristionss in an interview with VG247, the studio is currently busy with two more large-scale projects with the redwood giant EA.

Actually, the developer of the project is Top Cow, the authors of the comic strip underlying the plot of the game. Apart from comics, the studio was not marked by anything special. Top Cow has no games on track record. We hope that the first pancake will not come out lumpy, and the studio’s sequel will be at least at the original level. Although, of course, it is naive to expect a lot from debutants of this kind.

Let me remind you, The Darkness is a first-person shooter, released in late July 2007, based on the comic book of the same name. The protagonist of the game - Jackie Estacado - a professional killer, obsessed with the forces of darkness.
