How to disassemble iMac
At the moment, everything I could save by the pics.
After a year of living together, my iMac began to slow down terribly, and with each passing hour the syndromes were getting worse and worse until he just hung up and refused to turn on after his eyes had turned from such a state. o_o, it became clear that the hard drive died, oh, punished me with a love for torrents)) I climbed into the network, found a kind of normal video fak, but it turned out to be white for iMac, but for mine nothing was found (Intel), after two days without a network, I realized that I needed to do something, I went and bought a set of bits TORX (since the network said what was needed from T4 to T9, in practice it turned out that everything is inside on T9) and the WD5000AAKS 500GB hard drive, I started to implement my plans!
We need:
1. A TORX screwdriver or a TORX bit of T9 size
2. Phillips screwdriver
3. Tweezers
4. Vacuum Velcro

upd Thanks for the karma, moved to iron!
1) Remove the cover of the RAM, by the way, the only screw with a
Phillips screwdriver 2) Attach the vacuum velcro to the glass and start to gently pull the glass on the magnets, so there should be no particular problems, but you need to lift evenly, as there are can be bent at an angle !!!
3) Unscrew 12 bolts (4 long ones from the bottom)
4) Many FAQs claim that this is the camera’s power, but I want to upset the sensor (iMac is stuffed with them everywhere, right up to the cider and the case, as we see) ways or tweezers to climb into a special hole and detach or, when you remove the cover, disconnect by weight (as you prefer)
5) Remove the cover from top to bottom, as the bottom of the aluminum cover is hooked on the plastic base
6) Remove the sensor from the matrix
7) Unscrew the 8 mounting bolts of the matrix (all the bolts are different, so do not confuse, but you need to screw in only in its place)))
8) You need to remove the matrix carefully, I did not completely unscrew the lower bolts and could tilt, so that access appears as a bag (a), which made it possible to remove 4 power contacts (c) and a loop of the video signal itself (b)
9) So we got to the hero of the occasion as we see on it a double-sided stick with a temperature sensor , tearing it off, after I just stuck it on a regular adhesive tape
10) To remove the hard drive itself, you need to pull the plastic latch and when it pops out, remove the power and satash cable, then twist the two guides, and the plastic latch, by the way, everything is screwed through the rubber pads that reduces noise and vibrations
11) That's all))) To assemble it back we do everything step by step back, there are two tricks that save you time and nerves when you screw the matrix back. Suitcase click the video signal cable, the power supply is also at least at first glance and easy to connect, but the lower two wires should get to their place in the case, otherwise the matrix will bend and you can not screw it properly! The photo shows their place! Well, when you put on an aluminum cover on the base, do not forget to wear it from the bottom up and connect the temperature sensor!
