Google Searchology: Search Options, Squared, Skymap, Wonderwheel

    Recently, the Searchology conference, held by Google for the announcement of new search technologies, company products, trends and so on, has ended. On Habré and on Twitter we conducted a live broadcast of the entire conference.

    The first significant announcement is Google Search Options- Now the search results can be manually filtered by a variety of criteria, including temporary, trending, you can include user comments and so on.

    Announcement- the technology adds information from third sites to search results - user reviews, for example. A search on people will show the details of the person with LinkedIn - his place of work, contact details, etc. Microformats are supported.

    The Skyapp application for Android is shown - using GPS and a compass, the application shows the location of stellar bodies, constellations (with the ability to zoom in and out) with the names above you; It’s worth changing the angle and the map starts to rotate. Impressive!
