Google Searchology: Search Options, Squared, Skymap, Wonderwheel
Recently, the Searchology conference, held by Google for the announcement of new search technologies, company products, trends and so on, has ended. On Habré and on Twitter we conducted a live broadcast of the entire conference.

Conference slides are here.
Also, the Google channel on Youtube was updated where they posted demonstrations of new Google products (Search Options, Wonderwheel, Skymap).
So, today's announcements : Google Search Options, Android SkyMap, Google Squared, Wonder Wheel
There are a lot of graphics from the conference under the cat.
The first significant announcement is Google Search Options- Now the search results can be manually filtered by a variety of criteria, including temporary, trending, you can include user comments and so on.

The second announcement - Google Wonderwheel - visualization of the search using a fractal map - round (if desired, square) images. The wheel is a "web" of keywords, between which you can switch by clicking on the "map". Google Labs

Announcement - Squared .
Squared returns a search query in the form of tables, organizing information from chaotic web pages. For example, when you query "dogs" Google, collecting the search criteria will compile a table by breed, weight, color, nickname, etc. Rich Snippets

Announcement- the technology adds information from third sites to search results - user reviews, for example. A search on people will show the details of the person with LinkedIn - his place of work, contact details, etc. Microformats are supported.
All innovations promise to activate as soon as possible.

The Skyapp application for Android is shown - using GPS and a compass, the application shows the location of stellar bodies, constellations (with the ability to zoom in and out) with the names above you; It’s worth changing the angle and the map starts to rotate. Impressive!

Today's event has come to an end, thank you all for your attention :)
Photos were taken from TC (thanks to Michael), thanks to Yvo Schaap for the hornbeam and applause of the slide, the broadcast was in Russianhere .
