Meeting - project news.

Hello to everyone who knows about the Meeting , and those who read about us for the first time :)

Here I talked about the project, and now I want to talk about the changes that have occurred over 3 weeks of hard work.

Let me briefly recall the project: The

meeting is a service that answers friends to three eternal questions: Where are you? What are you doing? What are your plans?
The core of the service is a mobile phone application with which you can see where your friends are and what they are doing, and share this information about yourself immediately with everyone.
The application works on 170 phone models.


So, the main changes have affected the web part of the project:

• A general feed appeared (tab “All”), which can be read by all registered users of the Meeting. If you check the "Visible to all" box when updating the status, it will appear in the general stream. And everything is still the same: only those you added as friends can read your statuses, your places are visible only to your friends.
• Integration with Twitter! You can configure the translation of the statuses visible to everyone in Tiwtter in the Broadcasts tab in Settings.
• Modified the interface. The input field "moved" to the central part, made clear tabs and buttons. We hope that now navigation has become more descriptive.
• Friends search has been improved: now when you go to the search page, the Meeting offers you people based on who your friends are still friends with.
• The work of the server side has been optimized, this time the Habroeffect should be passed without any problems :)

As for the mobile application:

• Optimized work with the card and phone memory. Now the card loads faster, eats less traffic, conveniently “zooms”
• Avatar caching has been done, which again means less traffic.
• Who does not remember the login password - try it, it should work now. If anything, write to us.
• A bunch of minor bugs fixed
• In the coming days - there will be a version with a common tape in the mobile application.

As for the expansion of supported applications - now we are actively working on a version for the iPhone, we will work on porting the application to a larger number of mobile phones in the coming weeks.
