What should be a mouse mat before it has sunk into oblivion
For several months, the thought that until the mouse, as a form of a manipulator, had finally died out under the onslaught of finger-oriented interfaces, I had to forge iron. Or rather electronic paper.
Already now you can make a mouse pad based on e-ink, which would serve as a kind of auxiliary display. At least corny in order to display on him a list of current affairs for the day - he would always be at hand and callused (in the good sense of the word) his eyes. You see, and productivity would rise in some :)

That's how this thing could look, in my opinion.
Moreover, the properties of electronic paper are ideally suited for such purposes: the image on the mat will be updated once, well, by force - twice a day, so the charge of the built-in small battery will last for several years. In addition, the gray color of e-ink will not be annoying, unlike the same digital photo frames. And most importantly - electronic paper can bend. Well, you can upload a to-do list, for example, via Bluetooth or Wi-Fi, because the chips are small.
Alternatively, you can make such a thing based on OLED, but where is this technology so far, and where are we? :)
