Amazon is preparing the "international" version of the Kindle 3

Perhaps the best Amazon Kindle e-book reader will soon become even better. Perhaps in the third version (Kindle 3) there will be support for WiFi and 3G, and the device itself will officially ship outside the United States.

Such assumptions can be made if you look at the new vacancy , which was placed by Lab126, a hardware company working for Amazon. It is this startup that developed and launches the famous Amazon Kindle device.

The company is looking for a leading programmer or manager with experience in developing wireless devices. His responsibilities include recruiting up to four programmers who will work on a certain unnamed device with support for WiFi and 3G. You can guess this should be the next version of the Kindle (because Lab126 doesn't release anything else). As you can see, these standards are different from the American CDMA, which is used in the Sprint networks where the Kindle is sold. In addition, “international business trips” are mentioned in vacancies.

So if you have an interest in this work - go for it! You will be one of the first to be able to hold the Kindle 3 in your hands. And you will also have a wonderful green chair if the picture does not lie.
