Suddenly, beta Safari 4 for Windows and Mac came out.
The new version has been changed very seriously. Firstly, inside there is now a
new JS engine, comparable in speed to Google Chrome (so inside two browsers there are the same display engines and very similar - at least in speed - scripting engines).
Secondly, Apple was not afraid to borrow successful interface solutions from Google Chrome and completely redesigned the appearance of the browser. Carried tabs on top, a narrow panel that does not interfere with displaying the page - all this looks good.
For the “speed dial” mode, Apple made its beautiful solution with 12 tabs: You
can scroll the story, like album covers in iTunes - in Cover Flow mode.

Safari for Windows now looks and renders fonts like a regular Windows application, very organic.

Safari also includes an excellent inspector for developers.
There is something unpleasant: for example, the Safari address bar is not able to search in the middle of the url (although in Firefox and Chrome, for example, I really like this function). There is still time to improve.
It’s not a fact that everyone will like the new browser, but this is very good news for the ecosystem.
