Download versions and boxed software products.

Our company sells keys to some software products through QIWI payment terminals:

    Among them:
    • Dr. Web
    • Kaspersky (computer and smartphone)
    • Microsoft office
It is surprising why, most often, there is no difference in price between the boxed and downloadable versions of these products?
There are some advances in this direction: ABBYY . But a 10% discount is probably the exception to the rule.

Very interesting, why is this happening?

So MS office raised prices for Home & Student, which is sold through the QIWI Personal Account.

But when selling boxed versions, there are a lot of costs that are not for selling downloadable versions: production, logistics, distribution, merchandising, and so on ...

And then the software manufacturer gets at its disposal more than 70,000 points of sale (without paying an admission ticket), but keeps the prices the same.

    I really don’t understand!
