aucoins.ru

Before this project, I just did not get involved in numismatics.
It all started with the fact that my colleague and I were offered to make a website. The man wanted for himself a personal website specializing purely in the sale of his own coins. A separate project for the auction of coins and the sale of coins through the store was made.
The project was successfully completed and launched. A man received money and recruited people. And at one point, he suggested that we make another separate site, but for the sale of not only its coins, but an auction among users of the site. We liked the idea.
After discussing the details of the site, choosing a framework, development began.
The choice of framework fell on codeigniter. Prior to this project, we already had experience working with it. We immediately liked its structure and ease of writing code. On a habr you can find many articles for acquaintance with this framework.
No documentation was written during development. Everything was done by type. Draw design, cut and cover with code. I personally really like this approach. You can immediately see how the page looks and how convenient it is to handle it. If you didn’t like something, everything changed instantly on the go.
All the code was placed in SVN from the very beginning.
The site has been running for some time. And constantly updated with new functionality. We are trying to introduce technologies that are new to us that we had not previously used before. For example, a notification service about various events by means of SMS messages (buying your lot, interrupting your bid in the auction, etc.)
We will be very grateful in any comments on working with the site, errors, etc. Moreover, the first 2 months of using the site are absolutely free!
I must say that the site is not aimed at mega profitability. The minimum fee is taken only from sellers. All other operations are absolutely free. After the launch of the project, it became very interesting for us to use the sites ourselves. Immediately found some old things in the cabinets that have been lying there for about 100 years and are unlikely to be needed someday.
