GNOME: turn off the dull window folding effect

Those who work in GNOME and do not use Compiz (Fusion) should know how miserable the effect of minimizing windows is a dull black rectangle, which absurdly reflects the plume of the frame of the hidden window. This effect can be removed using gconf-editor : open the / apps / metacity / general branch and activate the reduced_resources parameter . This option is responsible for animation effects that are disabled for machines with limited resources.
