Been tested for viruses / adware / spyware?
In the process of calculating these statistics for Habr, I found that at least 950 Habra-people (~ 2.5% of all readers of Habr, if we assume that the distribution is even) in the system lives Adware-pest called AdCentriaIM . It leaves a trace in the user-agent of the browser, which allowed it to be detected. A full description of how to get rid is written here . The vast majority of those who are sick are Windows / Firefox.
This is what a typical user-agent looks like: I don’t know if I’m doing the right thing by writing this topic, but I just somehow can’t just sit back, how else can I get this to people?
