New Google Blog Search
Google has released a new version of its blog search. The main innovations are showing on the main page the most interesting and discussed posts in the blogosphere and grouping topics into 11 categories. In the new release, Google also tied to the search a graph showing the dynamics of the appearance of publications on a particular topic.
Despite all this, there were those who are still not happy with Google’s blog search. So, many compare it with the Techmeme aggregator (indeed, there is a certain similarity). But Google Blog Search has much wider coverage, which, in my opinion, adds “points” to it in this comparison.
Despite all the news of the new version, the popular blog Google Operating Systemnoted a number of shortcomings in Google Blog Search. This inability to detect plagiarism, spam and comments. It also does not have the ability to subscribe to the RSS feed for major news. A new clustering (the same one in 11 categories) does not work when displaying search results.
PS
By the way, I, of course, quite believe comrades from internetno.net. But for some reason I did not notice the differences from the old version. Nothing like screenshots from either the post via the link, or from the publication on the Google Operating System ... What is the problem, can you tell me? Update so far only for the bourgeois?
