Improving the comment system on Habrahabr (Update)

    Update see under cat.
On the hub (and not only), now I see a comment system where the branches go, by type: I see the problem of branches in the fact that with large branches it’s rather inconvenient to navigate. To find the initial comment, you need to submit a line that leads exactly to the desired comment and scroll through the page until you run into this same comment. On the hub, I see that this problem was partially solved by adding up and down arrows (↑) and down (↓), but still this does not completely solve the problem. If, for example, I decided to respond to a comment, then I have to go back to it (press the arrow down), and I really just had to read the comment that was answered. That is, before our eyes, a loss of time due to unnecessary actions.

In my understanding, I see a solution to this problem as follows:
Comments have line schemes, if you bring the line to the line with a cursor, a tooltip appears inside which there is a comment to which the answers actually go in this level branch.
In short, the figure should be clear ( New scheme ):

    New scheme

    Previous scheme

    Update:
As I wrote above, the logic is simple:
    1. If you move the cursor over the response area, the line becomes clear and a window with a comment pops up next to the cursor, on which There are answers in this thread.
    2. In addition, when you hover on the sides of the line, up arrows (↑) appear, which are opposite the cursor (drive behind it) and symbolize that if you click in this area, you can directly go up to the initial comment in this thread.
    3. Next, after clicking, these arrows change the direction down (↓) and if you click on this area again, you can go to the end of this branch - to the next one.

You can also add lines that are directly adjacent to the comments - for clarity, but these are additional tables.
