    We, habralyudi, are witnesses of a unique event - before our very eyes a generation of children is born, who is accompanied by a terrible beast named Internet from the cradle. His gifts are undeniable, but let's forget about them for a minute and look at how such fertile soil affects the flowers of our lives

    So. Imagine an average student. He is from 12 to 18 years old, and he spends all his free time at the computer. The main classes are games, communication in various chat rooms, forums and “classmates”. Moreover, the words “I search,” “I want,” “Ischo,” which have become classics, skip over and over. At the same time, as I was convinced, this is not "padonkaffsky" slang - people just write. Just yesterday, I met with my Russian language teacher at school, and she told me that the average level of “literacy” had halved over the course of some five years. And this means that where the average student used to make 9 mistakes, now he makes 18. What’s the reason - let's see.

    Let's start in order. Network communication itself is a read-write. When there was no computer, even the laziest idler learned to read from books, even if these books were “first, blue and primer”, but in any case, these books were literate and without errors. And no matter how the brain of the young gibberish resisted, visual memory took its toll.
    Now, communication with books has been successfully replaced by communication with their own kind. It would seem - nothing criminal. Spending hours in chat rooms or [email protected], which have already become a byword, children work out the read-write mechanism on their own cues. But these remarks are written not from the spelling dictionary, but from the head. In addition, the majority also "do not bother" to write correctly and write in the same way as they pronounce. Well, we always had enough fools, God bless them. That's just such a replica becomes another simulator for the mechanism of "read-write" the other children, whether they want it or not - the visual memory can not be fooled.
    If a person seeks to write correctly, which in itself is commendable, but cannot open a dictionary (either laziness, or he does not have a dictionary at hand, or he does not know about the possibilities of the Internet), then he begins to try to think logically. And here such a thinking algorithm is included that, in order not to seem illiterate, it changes all unstressed vowels to those with which they are confused (“and” to “e”, “o” to “a” - “sorry”), hissing sounds in general disfigures according to an unknown science law (“better”), drags in the unpronounceable letters that come from where (“dangerous”), and, as a result, we get even more delusional syntax than in the first case. But the most offensive - the child considersThat is the correct spelling. And with a sense of accomplishment, he fixes this in his memory. And so many times. The number of errors is multiplied by the number of replicas, then multiplied by the number of reads ... You can imagine what will be in his head after three or four years of honing such spelling.

    Unfortunately, I myself notice that the more time I spend on the Internet, the more I lose in literacy. True, in my case, punctuation is sacrificed - the brain in this crazy “race for time” simply throws out all sorts of commas from the spelling, as if they did not carry much meaning. Nevertheless, I still try to read books, I am grateful to online libraries - with them I read much more than if I used only “paper”.

    But who will protect our children? And most importantly - How? I do not know the answer to this question yet
