Semi-transparent block with rounded corners
I want to submit to the public my own version of the implementation of a translucent block with rounded corners. Crossbrowser, fully rubber. For everything about all 3 divs. Intriguing?
For the impatient, I’ll immediately give an example link .
A year ago, if I were offered to make up such a block, I would refuse, saying that in Internet Explorer version 6 it would not be possible to implement it well. Perhaps I would be hungry and make up such a block, but for this I would need at least 9 divs. Some time ago, having received the magic Pendel from Delka Delka and reading a very useful article , I found a fairly simple cross-browser solution.
Cons, as always, are available. It did not work to collect all the available pictures of corners and frames into one sprite. IE6 needs all 8 images. For normal browsers, enough is 6. For IE7, you can collect all the pictures into one :) Bulky style files for IE6-7 are perceived as inevitable ...
I don’t think that I surprised experienced professionals with something, but for novice typesettersand copy pasteors there will be such a method, I hopefully helpful.
Tested in FF3, NN9, IE6-7, Opera 9.2-9.5 and Safari (all Win).
