Why I do not participate in holivara.

Why am I not participating in Win vs * nix holivars?

    1. I feel equally confident in both of them.

Work experience under each of them is about the same for me. The volume of knowledge is also.

    2. I know that each OS has its own niche of existence.

I do not shove the gateway and proxy under win.
I am not trying to run the client part of 1c with very specific components under linux.

    3. I know that each of them has its own strengths.

Therefore, if the task arises to deploy AD, I will choose a win-server, but I will not pick cyberios, ldap and so on so that it more or less works not only in my hands. (but it has not yet come out samba4, but we'll see)
And if you just need a file search | prox | web server - then I will run aptitude install samba | squid | apache2

    4. I value my time

Therefore, I’m not trying to impose my opinion on anyone who wants to just argue.

    5. Respect the opinions of others

Therefore, I do not pick up a bat and do not try to douse my interlocutors with slops, trying to prove that my pipiska touches the laces on my boots when walking.

and, nevertheless, with optimism I look at the fact that linux actually as a desktop system has already surpassed win and that more and more software manufacturers are turning their eyes towards the OS for true enthusiasts.
