not a single PC: 66% of the market for expensive computers belongs to Apple

Typically, Apple haters in their criticism of Macs and Mac OS X use data on Apple's market share. Like, poppies are not at all popular, you can’t seriously talk about them, Apple products will always remain niche, etc.

But the company NPD Group has conducted studies that indicate an increase in the share of poppies in the US market, with the highest growth recorded among computer sales, whose price is above $ 1,000.

According to this study, in the first quarter of 2008, Apple sold 14% of all computers in America.
The share of poppies among all computers sold with prices above $ 1,000 is 66%!

Apple showed phenomenal growth - in January 2006 it owned only 18% of this market, in September 2007 - 57%, and it managed to achieve 66% in the first quarter of 2008.

Well, now someone has doubts that Apple will soon conquer the world? :)
