May 19, 2008 at New version of Rapid PHP Editor
Quite recently, a new version of this wonderful editor was released. If you use professional integrated development environments such as Zend Studio or Eclipse, then I think that this editor can show just wretched. At least the size of a distro (just 5.5 MB).
However, I think it is impossible to lose sight of him. So,
it’s pointless to rewrite the full specifications. It can be read on the download page .
But the convenience from my experience I will describe.
- I think syntax highlighting and adding words is clear.
- Very convenient highlighting of brackets {} [] (). definitely not mistaken if a lot of things are invested in each other. In the new version there is also a highlighting of HTML blocks, for example, DIV or P and that's all. A trifle, but nice.
- The ability to connect directly to the database from the program. To be honest, I didn’t use it. so, experimented once.
- Code Explorer - I have no idea how one could work without it. This is the conclusion of the program structure - functions, classes, variables, inclusions. And in the new version right in the code you can find out where the function or variable was declared in just two clicks.
- Search. worthy. what can I say.
- Yes, and a lot of interesting things that simplify coding, whether it is layout or programming.
- And I don’t remember, maybe it used to be, but there is still a cool function for formatting the code. If for some reason tabulations were not observed or someone else's code was unreadable, then this feature will facilitate reading.
And this editor is just loading lightning fast. I highly recommend it if you have already been familiar with this program or have not worked with it before.
And maaalenky fly in the ointment on the track - it is shareware. Does this stop us? :)
