The new generation of electronic paper

The company E-Ink announced the finalization of a new generation of screens that are based on e-paper. The main advantage of the development is the ability to construct, with its help, firstly, flat models of arbitrary shape and, secondly, curved screens.

As a demonstration model of the new E-Ink technology, a curved keychain for motorists was chosen. The electronic paper key fob screen is able to display the status of a number of vehicle systems and the amount of fuel in the tank.

Unfortunately, there is no data on when at least some devices with new electronic paper will appear on the market. About the cost, respectively, too.
