EPOQ Multimedia has released the world's first watch smartphone running the Windows CE 5.0 operating system. On sale EGP-WP98 will appear on April 25. Currently, pre-orders are open . The cost of the device is 629 dollars 95 cents.
Inside the smartphone is an AM403 DGT ARM926 processor with a clock frequency of 266 megahertz. The diagonal of the touch screen EGP-WP98, equipped with handwriting recognition, is 1.45 inches.
Also, the device is equipped with a 1.3-megapixel camera, multimedia player and microSD card slot. From wireless interfaces, the smartphone supports Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. EGP-WP98 works in GSM / GPRS / 850/900/1800/1900 networks.
It is reported that the EGP-WP98 can function as a VoIP phone. Complete with a watch phone comes: Bluetooth-headset, 1GB memory card and two batteries.
The watch case is waterproof. Supported languages include English, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Turkish, Russian, Vietnamese, Thai, Arabic, and Chinese.
