New UMPC from Gigabyte

    An amusing device that looks like UMPC, and according to the capabilities of a laptop, "showed" the company Gigabyte. The M704 subnotebook, whose dimensions are only 190 × 121 × 30 mm and weighs 780 grams, has a very good design and more than enough filling level for its class of products.


    The M704 is equipped with a VIA Esther ULV C7 processor with a frequency of 1.2 GHz, a graphics core integrated into the VIA VX-700 chipset, 768 MB of DDR2-533 memory, a 60 GB hard drive (1.8-inch form factor) and a decent set of additional " amenities ”. Among them are a 1.3-megapixel webcam, a Wi-Fi 802.11 b / g wireless module, an SD / MMC card reader (with an SDIO controller), a pair of USB 2.0 ports, a D-Sub output for connecting external displays, a 100-megabyte network controller and, of course, a QWERTY keyboard. The display of the M704 is 7-inch, supporting a resolution of 1024 × 600 pixels. The battery capacity of 3900 mAh is enough, according to Gigabyte, for three hours of battery life with a dense load.
