Google Apps will encrypt soon

On July 9, Google announced that it had signed a final agreement to acquire Postini, a world leader in anti-spam, data protection, and message encryption. As a result of this transaction, which will cost Google $ 625 million, the company will be able to take the well-known services included in the Google Apps package to a whole new level of security.

To date, a huge number of small businesses and private users are already using Google Apps products. At the same time, many large enterprises are in no hurry to switch to Google Apps due to security issues and corporate requirements. Using the best practices of Postini, Google products will be able to reach the required level of security and meet the needs of the market.

This primarily affects well-known services such as Gmail and Google Talk. In the case of Gmail, you can count on a reduction in incoming spam. But the most interesting is waiting for users of Google Talk. Perhaps, thanks to Postini algorithms, conversations and conversations using this client will become fully encrypted.

Let me remind you that negotiation encryption is one of the most important requirements of IP-telephony users. Largely due to the complete confidentiality of all negotiations and correspondence, the army of Skype program fans is constantly growing.
