This was done not in order to plant, but in order for users to postpone : newly appearing sites with music, films and programs can be a setup.
Bloggers are already spreading such a thing, pouring outrage. But the organizers need this. Such a viral marketing ;-)
Most likely, within the framework of the campaign they will make a couple more fake lawsuits :-) Purpose: to make sure that those who may be afraid are afraid to download warez.
Of course, you won’t scare experienced people. Yes, and those who are outside the legal field of the United States - too. But the penetration of the Internet in America is such that among users is full of housewives and dummies.
