Linux Mint, or what is missing in Ubuntu
I am using Ubuntu Linux. I like him. However, after installation, it took about an hour to configure it to the proper level. And recently, I discovered Linux Mint , which is a modified ubuntu.
- Includes all the necessary codecs.
Integrated with Microsoft Windows (read / write support on NTFS, Windows migration assistant, automatically add Windows to the bootloader).
It has a convenient control center, mintMenu, which replaces Gnomovskoye (hi openSUSE).
The base kit includes OpenOffice, Firefox, Thunderbird, Sunbird, Gimp, Pidgin, XChat, Amarok, etc.
Provides a 3D desktop out of the box (Compiz and Beryl).
Easy to install and configure.
And finally, it is fully compatible with ubuntu and its repositories.
