90% of respondents rated iPhone above their current mobile device

The Strategy Analytics Wireless Device Labs conducted a series of consumer surveys about their feelings about the iPhone.

In a joint study by Wireless Device Labs and Intelligent System Strategies, Strategy Analytics explored the appeal of iPhone capabilities, compared it with other existing products, studied the nature of the iPhone, and drafted design criteria for future devices.

“More than 90% of those surveyed rated iPhone better than their current devices, and over 40% rated iPhone as a device with better standard features, including playing music, browsing the Internet, voicemail, and managing phone calls. This reflects an innovative approach to user experience design. ”Said Harvey Cohen, president of Strategy Analytics, who managed the survey.

“While the iPhone’s furor factor is very impressive, our research shows that confronting price and positioning can be a barrier to reaching the masses,” said Kevin Nolan, director of User Experience Research at Strategy Analytics. “Despite this, the iPhone clearly displays a breakthrough in what the user needs.”

The assessment was made on the basis of video presentations of iPhone capabilities using the Strategy Analytics list of advanced buyers of mobile devices.

Survey results: how would you rate the iPhone’s user experience with other mobile devices you’ve seen or already used?
