In March, Google released an enhanced online version of GTalk. Not wanting to lag behind Google, Yahoo has released an online version of its messenger - Yahoo Messenger.
Like the Google Talk gadget, Yahoo messenger is executed on Adobe Flash, for each conversation a separate tab is opened inside one window, you can search for contacts and also see their status. Yahoo online messenger saves the logs of all your conversations and makes them searchable from the application interface. Google retains conversations regardless of the client used, but the story is available only from GMail.
While the Google Talk gadget is compact and can be used inside the iGoogle personalized page, in a new window, or even in the sidebar of the browser, the new online Yahoo Messenger spans the entire page.
