
There are 210 3G mobile operators in the world
Despite the fact that the Russians (and Europeans) are still “closer in spirit” to the GSM mobile standard, third-generation mobile communications are steadily gaining momentum.
So, according to a study by In-Stat, there are 210 companies worldwide that have already deployed a 3G network or are going to do so in the near future. At the same time, 68 of them are in Western Europe, 38 in Eastern Europe, 19 in South America and 19 in North America. The Middle East region has 13 third-generation operators, and Asia-Pacific has 54.
