European online advertising catches up with American

Recently, the European online advertising market has been rapidly closing the gap with the American one. About this writes the site Mediarevolution.ru with reference to a study by eMarketer .

In 2007, the volume of the online advertising market in Western Europe will exceed $ 7.5 billion, which means an increase of 25% compared to $ 6 billion in 2006, experts say. In addition, this year the share of the Internet in the total expenses of European companies on advertising will reach 7.3%, that is, this sector will overtake radio advertising in terms of volume. But the Internet will not be able to catch the print press even by 2010.

The growth of the online advertising sector is influenced by the growth of Internet audience in European countries. So, 45% of European users of the Network use the Internet daily and spend about 11 hours 20 minutes a week on the Web - this is more than in 2005, when these figures were 10 hours and 15 minutes.
