Baidu BlogSearch is open

Chinese search engine Baidu opens a blog search , according to Xinhua news agency . This is the first Chinese web diary service.

Searching Baidu’s blogs is looking good, with nearly 20 million bloggers in China (according to company statistics) (up 24% from last year). More than 52 million blogs are being created in Chinese, and there are already 1,460 blog sites (the most popular are Qzone, Sina.com, MSN Spaces, and Sohu.com).
