Minister for Special Affairs of Latvia electronic control Ina Gudele made statements to dispel attacks by journalists against "business card" of Latvia on the Internet - portal latvija.lv . Moreover, the coincidence of the planned project cost and the price put forward by RIX Technologies is completely logical. Gudele referred to Cabinet Regulation No. 235 of April 1, 2004 (“Notice of Decision Making”), according to which, when the results of a tender are announced, the estimated contract price must be the same as the price proposed by the winning company.
In addition, as Gudele stated, criticism regarding the overpriced cost of the portal is groundless. The figures given by journalists (182 thousand lats) are not the cost of the site at the current stage, but the project as a whole. Now only the first stage of creating an Internet resource is completed. Moreover, this amount includes not only development, but also portal maintenance for 3 years.
