Sega launches two new versions of its retro console Mega Drive

And Nintendo is another new product.

A few days ago, the Japanese company Nintendo released a miniature modern version of its 8-bit retro console. Now Sega is making a similar move. The company revived its console in honor of the 25th anniversary of the Sonic the Hedgehog gaming franchise. And two versions of the console are presented at once - the usual (small, compared to the original, size) and portable.

The first version of the console works with the original Mega Drive cartridges. Included with it are supplied wireless controllers and a system for connecting the set-top box to the TV.

The portable version is equipped with a 3.2-inch display. Inside - a battery that can be charged using a standard USB data cable.

Both consoles come with 80 built-in games, including the most popular ones - Sonic, Mortal Kombat, Golden Ax and Comix Zone. That is, you can play immediately after switching on the console. If you want other games, you can download the ROM to the SD card and play on the portable version.

The cost of consoles is $ 65, they will be available in October.

And one more news from Nintendo.

Both companies, Nintendo and Sega, seem to be competing again, who will overtake anyone in terms of the release of new products. Nintendo, in addition to a smaller version of its set-top box, announced another new product - a wireless receiver for SNES-controllers. It is called Retro Receiver. This is a normal wireless adapter that plugs into the port for the controller and receives the signal from the wireless joysticks. Dual Shock 3 and 4, Wii controllers, as well as wireless controllers for SNES from 8Bitdo are supported. This company helped Nintendo create a wireless system.

The cost of new items is $ 24.99.
