Repair keyboard keys Logitech K800

In the process of not very successful operation of the keyboard, the Logitech K800 I broke a few keys, and the most necessary and difficult to maintain: the right Shift and the main Enter. You can, of course, buy new ones on ebay, but there are two problems:
- price;
- the sizes of some keys for different layouts are different. For example, the basic Enter in the Russian layout has a different form than the same in the American one.

I broke the key attachment to the scissor mechanism - snap (ie, such hooks on the transparent part of the key). But it was found that the repair can cheat and do a little blood.

The easiest way is with Enter. First, instead of the main one, you can put the right one, they are compatible. But I bought the right Enter - it is cheaper and more accessible. And then - pick out the transparent part from the donor (right), from the patient (main) and paste the donor part into the main Enter. Due to the fact that the snap sizes of these keys are the same, everything rises and works perfectly. Here is the process:

With shift, it turned out to be more difficult. It was not possible to buy it, and there is no other key with the same snap size. But the trick comes into play. We need to take one very ordinary donor key, for example, any letter key, and also extract the transparent part from it:

And then we cut it in half and paste it in shift:

However, it turned out that the indent of one half of the hooks at the shift is slightly different from the standard one. I had to cut each half into 2 parts and move one of them a little closer to the center:

But this option is already working and I’m typing this text :)

In theory, any key can be treated with this principle, perhaps even a space (fortunately , I have a whole and did not have to disassemble).

I hope that this article will help someone save on repairs.
