As promised in February, Microsoft began delivering HoloLens from the first installment of augmented reality glasses to developers. The cost of the kit is $ 3000. The kit includes several video games, as well as the necessary documentation and training materials.

In addition, the company without much hype released the emulator points , which can be useful to developers. With it, you can create applications for augmented reality (DR), not having a device at hand.

The emulator uses a Hyper-V virtual machine and works with Visual Studio. The signals from the mouse, the keyboard (and, if available, the Xbox controller) are used to emulate the data on moving points. The emulator is controlled in the usual way - WASD for movements in space, mouse movement - for turns.

Unlike the acclaimed Oculus Rift virtual reality helmets, HoloLens try to complement reality by visually placing virtual objects into the surrounding user space - from game characters to interlocutors in Skype, which special 3D cameras take at that moment. Points are controlled by moving in space, turning the head and special buttons.
