On May 27-28, an industry exhibition and a number of professional thematic conferences “Russian Internet Technologies 2019” were held in Moscow. Selectel traditionally supported the event and acted as its partner. Today we will briefly tell you what exactly the guests and participants remembered.
The Ontiko company , the organizer of the festival, made every effort to create a comfortable and convenient space for both guests and the organization of company stands. For two days of the festival, the campus of the Moscow School of Management Skolkovo has become an excellent space for experience exchange and communication.
Perhaps the main desire of each visitor was the desire to create more clones for themselves or to create a “flywheel of time” in order to manage to attend all the reports of the participants in nine parallel streams. Narrow-profile conferences with hardcore presentations are the strongest side of the event, as it allows you to gather under one roof specialists of various directions: from developers and system administrators to entrepreneurs and managers.
Among the hottest topics of the reports, in our opinion, were:
- concept of continuous integration and delivery (CI / CD);
- incident management;
- automation of routine processes;
- fault tolerance and the construction of distributed systems.
The speakers shared extremely interesting experience in solving complex problems, talked about the tools used, as well as the developed methodology for solving problems. For example, the company Leroy Merlin switched to microservice architecture, faced with performance problems of a monolithic system. The developers had to do a tremendous job of moving business logic into separate microservices using RabbitMQ.
In between reports, you could either discuss what you heard with your “colleagues” or test any ideas in your ecosystem:
At the stands of the presented companies, there were a lot of “geeky” entertainments for guests: from solving puzzles and puzzles to shooting from futuristic office weapons .
All this created its own indescribable atmosphere, in which a discussion of serious and important issues could take place during an air hockey game or a duel in Mortal Combat.
Events of this level are not only a great opportunity to talk about the company, but also get feedback from those who are already existing customers. At our booth, we heard honest reviews about the work of our services, as well as interesting suggestions to improve the quality of our services.
I would like to thank all the guests who spoke about their cases and problems. We will certainly take into account all wishes to make our services even more convenient and reliable.
At the end of each of the two days of the conference, we presented visitors with many valuable prizes: our Tirexes, wireless chargers and convenient bags.
