A game for lovers and experts on Linux

Today, registration has opened for participation in the Linux Quest - a game for fans and connoisseurs of the Linux operating system.
Our company already has a fairly large department of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE), service access engineers. We are responsible for the continuous and uninterrupted operation of the company's services and solve many other interesting and important tasks:
- We take part in introducing new functionality when launching projects;
- We provide development and testing;
- We provide high reliability of services and fast scaling;
- We are creating platforms to accelerate the development and increase the use of server hardware;
- we work with the entire operational stack - monitoring, network and server configuration;
- we automate repetitive tasks and much of what is done by hand, but more efficiently and more reliably with software;
- detect and solve problems;
- and this is not a complete list!
To successfully solve all these problems, you need to be able to program, know English, be able to configure various applications, and, of course, well know the Linux operating system, which is one of the most common operating systems.
We decided to make a small game for lovers and connoisseurs of Linux. It is just small - the tasks proposed in it do not cover the entire spectrum of our responsibilities, but only provide an opportunity to get an idea of a set of basic knowledge and skills, and to try to solve the problems with our own hands that we occasionally encounter.
Game Schedule :
- Registration - March 25 at 12:00.
- The first stage is March 28 at 12:00.
- The second stage - April 2 at 12:00.
- The third stage is April 05 at 12:00.
April 10, we will announce the winners! You can join the game at any time, the rules are described on the site .
So that you can better prepare for the game, we have compiled a list of recommended books, sites and articles . After the game, we will tell you how to create tasks, and share one of the options for solving each of them.
Play and win! :-)
