The Norwegian company Metronor presented at the international exhibition of additive technologies Formnext in Frankfurt am Main an updated line of portable coordinate measuring machines Solo , Duo and Solo Twin , as well as a completely new product - TrackScan 3D-scanner for digitizing objects of any complexity.

Metronor Solo is the base model in the company's line of portable coordinate measuring machines. The kit includes: a laptop with preinstalled software, a camera, a stylus holder and a set of measuring probes.



During measurements, the camera monitors the position of the probe holder in space, registering the movement of the LEDs on its surface, and transfers the received data to a laptop, where the software calculates the spatial coordinates of the center of the probe in real time.



The Solo system allows for high-precision measurements of complex dimensional parts in mechanical engineering, the aviation industry and shipbuilding.

Metronor duo

Metronor Solo is easily upgraded to the Duo system, which already uses two control cameras. Such a solution allows to increase the measurement accuracy by more than two times, as well as reduce the distance to the measured object and increase the viewing angle of the entire system.

Metronor solo twin

The Metronor Solo Twin is equipped with a dual camera. Due to a significant increase in the viewing angle, the coordinate measuring machine can be used in a limited space, while maintaining high measurement accuracy. In addition, the company is positioning Solo Twin as a unique solution for exhibiting shafts.

TrackScan 3D scanner is a joint project of Metronor and Chinese ScanTech. TrackScan is a hand-held scanner in a complex case, working in conjunction with a control camera - this solution combines the company's measurement algorithms and 3D laser scanning.



TrackScan allows you to quickly digitize a large object of any complexity without the use of stickers. The system allows the use of up to two cameras and the simultaneous use of measuring probes. The company's specialists recommend using TrackScan for product verification, reverse engineering and preparing models for 3D printing.
