Ubuntu + Linspire

As it became known from the press releases of companies engaged in the release and support of two Debian clones, Canonical Ltd (Ubuntu distribution) and Linspire (Linspire distribution (ex-Lindows)), an agreement was signed to switch Linspire / Freespire to Ubuntu repositories as parent, instead of the previously used Debian repositories.
The flip side of the contract will be the start of using the Click`N`Run software from Linspire in Ubuntu.
The first Ubuntu distribution on which the new Linspire will be based will be Ubuntu 7.04 LTS, which will be released in April this year.

Ian Murdoch (Founder of Debian) voiced his joy at the Canonical and Linspire arrangement.
