Coworkidea Coworking Photo Tour (Barcelona)

We are alinatestova - always in touch. Even on trips and on vacation, which we do not have in practice, but this is normal. More than a year ago [ yes, I ’ve taken apart the archive just now ] we went to Barcelona and couldn't help but glance at least at one coworking [ in the previous series 1 , 2 , 3 , 4 ]. This was my first trip to Barcelona, and I wanted to be closer to the city center, but at the same time be able to make the morning swim without jostling on the central beach. So I chose the Hotel Boutique dONNA on the Passeig Marítim promenade in Castelldefels .

This is a city 20 kilometers from Barcelona. It is famous for its beach, with a length of more than five kilometers. Plus there is a remarkable local cuisine. From the hotel to the center of Barcelona - 20 minutes by bus for 2 euros. Surprisingly, the coworking guys appreciated the choice of the hotel, suggesting that someone could recommend it to us.

« Coworkidea » is located in the historic center of Barcelona - Old Town. Most of the buildings here date from the 14th – 15th centuries. Finding the Old Town on the map is not difficult - this is the area where a strict grid of wide roads turns into a maze of cramped lanes.

On the way to coworking, we met a basketball court. It is located in the courtyard of one of the local attractions - the church of St. Mary Montalegre (pictured left). Nearby are the Center for Contemporary Culture of Barcelona and the Museum of Modern Art .

Around the same area are the offices of IT companies. There are Capri Software SL (software development), UXLand (make sites) and Ozeanus Mobile Solutions IT(IT consulting).

In the photo below you can see one of the buildings of the building in which the coworking is located. In fact, the building is occupied by a shopping and business center, therefore, in addition to coworking, there are several shops, a supermarket, a bar and a hairdresser for local residents and guests.

Entrance to the building is free. There is an administrator behind the counter to inform visitors.

    Entrance to the coworking itself:

On the board there are social networks of coworking and the announcement of our office hours with residents:

    Instagram
    Facebook
    Twitter

    Guest table:

This is a view of the guest table, but on the other hand:

In the background, there are fixed jobs for companies. Among the permanentResidents are Ohmycode , ClassLife , Subforce , Komodore, and others.

Ohmycode specializes in cloud computing, APIs, business intelligence, and data processing. ClassLife create a platform for managing educational online services - it includes a virtual campus, billing and sales channel. Komodore is a one-person startup that does a chatbot for people renting out apartments to tourists. As for Subforce, these guys write websites and support them.

This is Carlos (his Twitter ), he helped us organize office hours for content marketing. Before the start of the meeting, we went into the kitchen and discussed the latest news from the industry.

It looks like the kitchen itself, everything is as it is - a creative mess:

Entrance to the lecture hall and the hall itself:

Through the transparent wall, the lecture hall - the general workspace:

The zone for negotiations and relaxation - our office hours passed here:

During the meeting we even talked about Habr . Interestingly, local cool about global social networks like Reddit (they say that the “exhaust” is difficult and incomprehensible).

View of the booths for calls from the corner for negotiations:

Immediately behind the booths there is office equipment and a small block of storage lockers:

In the photo below, there is space for residents with non-fixed workplaces and guests. On the right - fixed places, and on the left - a lecture hall. At the end of the hall is a guest table.

By the way, most of those who were in coworking on that day pulled up on office clocks. We finished around 20:00, but someone was still working, albeit in a relaxed format.

In general, as you can see, in Coworkidea everything is rather modest compared to Moscow coworking (for example, you can see "Key" , SOK and #tceh on Habré ).
