Israeli startup has created a universal wireless charger

The Israeli company Humavox , which has attracted venture capital investments, is developing a bowl-shaped wireless charger that can charge several devices at once, says Nikkei Technology.
The development was presented at the Mobile World Congress 2016, which was held February 22-25 this year in Barcelona.
Israelis Charger can charge low-power gadgets such as fitness bracelets and hearing aids. Currently, the bowl can transfer 1 W (200 mA, 5 V) of charge, but the Humavox plans to increase power to 2.5 W (500 mA, 5 V). The device uses a method that transmits electricity using broadband waves. The frequency can be set in the range from 2.1 G to 5.8 GHz in accordance with the needs and standards adopted in different countries.

Humavox plans to license the technology, but is not able to produce the necessary microchip at home. Negotiations with other companies are already underway in this direction.
“We expect products using our technology to hit the market in 2017, primarily in the medical field,” commented a spokesman for Humavox.
