They brought a toy with CES and decided to share a short review with you. This is not a gadget, not a new technology, not a super novelty. Just a set of lenses for a smartphone in a case format.
Under the cut is an “objective” story about ZTYLUS.
The device is decomposed into three lenses, but it is like “4 in 1”, since the macro, in turn, has another lens, on a magnet, reproducing a wide-angle lens. Also available is a polarizing filter that reduces glare, a fisheye, and, directly, a macro lens.

The whole structure consists of three parts:
To insert a smartphone, you need to disconnect the bottom of the cover, and then lock it again. The role of the latch performs something like a "screwdriver" that does not touch the phone case. Also, from the inside, from above and from below the cover is "equipped" with a soft cloth. All necessary openings for control buttons are also cut.
The circle at the back is taken out, and this is just the place to insert a set of lenses.
The choice occurs in the process of scrolling the structure clockwise, and when one of the lenses can be pulled out, it clicks at the white point. The other two will be blocked and inaccessible.
This design, in my opinion, is more convenient and reliable than many other options, which are then attached using a magnetic ring or “clothespin”. But still there are questions. In particular, it is obvious that with attached lenses such a cover does not fit into any pocket! Secondly, it is strange that, having likened a smartphone to a camera, they did not bother to offer me some kind of tape on my neck for wearing. I don’t discuss the issue with the cap, which seemed to have nowhere to put it, because somewhere I’m doing the “closure” for the lenses during the shooting process. So there is a place for her. And in order to make it look useless, it was made a stand:
The design itself is not heavy, and it is certainly lighter than DSLRs and soap dishes, and may well serve instead of one of the mentioned types in some cases. But here is the truthit will cost - about $ 100 in retail .
