6 places to visit during CES 2016

The Consumer Electronics Show (CES) is ready to receive visitors, and robots are already starting to take over Las Vegas.
Only to represent the latest trends in robotics allocated 71% of the exhibition space. There will be something to see, but there is not much time for everything. It is necessary to seriously consider what is worth seeing in the first place, and we will try to help with this. Below is a list of 6 robotics related events that you must attend at CES 2016 in Las Vegas.

1. Robotics platform
Where: Sands Expo, Level 2. When: January 6: (10: 00-18: 00), January 7 (9: 00-18: 00), January 8 (9: 00-18: 00), January 9 ( 9: 00-16: 00)
Here will be presented smart autonomous machines that change and develop with us. They have access to cloud data storages, can connect to mobile devices, and also see, hear, respond to the outside world.
23 companies will present their latest robotics technologies that change the world of people: help in training, business, monitor health, work on the housework. Companies such as Double Robotics, Ecovacs Robotics, Future Robot, Ozobot, Ninebot and many others will be represented.
“Robots can really see, hear, feel and react to the world around them,” says Gary Shapiro, president of CEA. - Robots will change our approach to daily tasks. We hope that this category will be widely represented at CES 2016 and will be able to change people's lives for the better. ”
2. Robotics Conference
During this conference, you can learn a lot about personal robots that are just entering the market and pushing the usual boundaries of opportunities and innovations. The conference is divided into 3 sections:
Robot at home
When: January 8, 9: 00-10: 00. Where: Venetian, Level 4, Marcello 4501
Wherever you live, it is better to allocate a separate room for the robot. The first wave of personal robots that entered the consumer market was a tremendous success. You will see the best representatives of this class who will be excellent companions, as well as learn what such robots will have in the future.
Smart robots: artificial intelligence. Training and the cloud
When: January 8, 10: 15-11: 15. Where: Venetian, Level 4, Marcello 4501
A mix of robotics, cloud computing and artificial intelligence technologies give an amazing result - a new kind of robot that can be trained. Leading experts in cognitive systems and cloud robotics reveal the secrets of what will happen if all these technologies are combined in one robot.
See them firsthand! Presentation of robots 2016
When: January 8, 11: 30-12: 30. Where: Venetian, Level 4, Marcello 4501
This is perhaps the most anticipated event: the presentation of the hottest and most exciting robot models and their creators. Developers and entrepreneurs will show their latest developments and talk about them all.
3. Unmanned aerial vehicles (drones)
Where: LVCC, South Hall 2. When: January 6 (10: 00-18: 00, January 7 (9: 00-18: 00), January 8 (9: 00-18: 00), January 9 (9: 00-16: 00)
Drones were one of the main exhibitors at CES 2015. This year they will also play one of the key roles. The exhibition of unmanned systems and devices will be presented by more than 20 companies that will show the latest trends in the field.
DJI will become one of these participants, possibly discussing their new location system, the principles of delivering goods using drones in partnership with the Walmart network .
Ehang will also be present with its Ghost 2.0 drone, which comes with virtual reality goggles and gives you the opportunity to survive the flight by watching everything through the drone’s 4K camera.
And, probably, one of the most popular (or unpopular, how can I see) exhibitors is the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). Many are not particularly enthusiastic about the insufficient progress on the front of UAV laws, as well as the recently introduced drone registration system.
The FAA will hold its press conference, where it will talk in detail about the new Know Before You Fly security campaign. Time and place: Wednesday, January 7, 16: 00-17: 00, South Hall (S228), Las Vegas Convention Center. The Association of Aviation Medicine Specialists (AMA) and the Association of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) will also join the conference .
There will be a few more drone sessions that the FAA might want to attend. For example, the need to regulate the rules and regulations for the safety of aircraft, the new drone management system, which should include the safety and security of user data, etc.
Rules for drones are best practices and policies
(January 7, 13: 00-14 : 00, LVCC, North Hall, Room N256)
Rules for drones are needed so that entrepreneurs, business and government can realize the enormous benefits of unmanned aerial systems. But which rules are better? What policies and initiatives will support safety and innovation for the benefit of consumers and trade? The conference will be chaired by Lisa Ellman, a partner at Hogan Lovells, and Brendan Schulman, DJI's vice president of political and legal affairs, will act as speaker.
Airspace Organization, Security, and Privacy
(January 7, 14: 15-15: 15, LVCC, North Hall, Room N256)
Innovators, companies, researchers and legislators have their own vision of how to better organize airspace for unmanned aerial vehicles. How do they relate to security and privacy issues? Find out how public and private sectors solve airspace issues. Jim Williams, head of the Dentons US law firm, will chair the conference, and Jennifer Richter, partner at Akin Grump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, will be the keynote speaker.
4. Self-driving cars
Self-driving cars and concept cars are a must see for all CES visitors. After the 2015 exhibition, the concepts of Mercedes-Benz F 015 and Audi A7 did not leave the front pages of automobile magazines. F 015 is a self-driving car with a soft interior, where there are 4 seats that are rotated 90 °, so that passengers can calmly talk. But the Audi A7 crossed the path from San Francisco to Las Vegas in two days to catch the show last year.
Rinspeed's self-driving Etos is at first glance pretty ordinary. But the peculiarity of this model is the landing pad at the back of the aircraft for landing and take-off drones, so that, as they say in the company, "pick up the flowers that were ordered online and deliver them to the happy chosen one." Also, the drone can follow the car, filming its movement on video.
5. 3D printing
Where: Sands Expo, Level 2. When: January 6 (10: 00-18: 00), January 7 (9: 00-18: 00), January 8 (9: 00-18: 00), January 9 (9 : 00-16: 00)
Most 3D printers are used to create prototypes for the medical, aerospace, engineering and automotive industries. But with the development of digital technology, these devices are becoming more compact and affordable.
The 3D printing exhibition will be represented by 58 exhibitors, including companies such as 3D Systems , Formlabs, MarkForged, Stratasys and many others. If CES 2016 is the same as in 2015 , we will see many new models that range from serious and complex commercial solutions to simple and affordable devices for fans.
6. Eureka Park
Where: Sands Expo, Level 1. When: January 6 (10: 00-18: 00), January 7 (9: 00-18: 00), January 8 (9: 00-18: 00), January 9 (9 : 00-16: 00)
Eureka Park is a place where representatives of many startups are gathered, and visitors can find out their latest ideas and innovations: from those that have just arisen to those that are successfully developing and that can change the world of consumer technologies.
Many robotics companies will be exhibitors, including BlueFrog, CellRobot, Cleverpet, Empire Robotics, Extreme Fliers Micro Drone, Flypro, Keecker and Reach Robotics.
